The judges were very impressed with this innovative and unique business that has developed a marketing and business strategy around a product that can be found almost anywhere. The Uniqueness of this business is the actual experience and the customer care and service one gets when purchasing the product. There has been thorough planning and investment in environmentally sustainable kitchen and storage practices and packaging with a solid commitment to using Australian only ingredients, preferably local. The business holds a high and marketable respect in the community that could be an important component in assisting to grow the Numurkah community across the region and beyond. The business also has a children's educational component to their marketing and website highlighted the healthy alternative of the muffins in an era of fast food. Wendy expressed enormous passion for her business and Numurkah, and also supports the community with school holiday activities, employing local young people, work experience opportunities for school and event sponsorship.
